We at Future Scholars Academy believe in providing a safe and a stimulating educational environment for every child. Our goal is to focus on early child care and an educational experience which promotes each child’s physical, cognitive and social/emotional development. The experience we provide for each child will promote a lifelong passion for learning and Future Scholars.
FSA has a wonderful group of teachers because of our genuine love for children and our commitment to enriching the lives of the children for whom we care for. We have a qualified educational background as identified by the IN Department of Human Services state guidelines.
Additionally we participate in continuous programs of in-service education to keep current in early childhood best practices. Each full time teacher is required to participate in over 20 hours of training each year. All FSA staff are asked to participate in First Aid and CPR certification. At a minimum each classroom has one certified staff person at all times. All personnel at FSA must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug test and TB exam.
Maisa Khazal is the director of Future Scholars Academy. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University and a Minor in Spanish. She has traveled and studied in both Spain and Russia. Her teaching experience includes teaching in Washington DC, Carmel School Corporation, Lafayette School Corporation and West Lafayette School Corporation. Her philosophy is to enrich the lives of children through education and discipline for a successful future.
